Safety Planning Mental Health and Behavior Emergency Health

This specialized training is designed to equip School Site Crisis Team members with the knowledge and skills necessary to develop and implement effective safety plans in response to student concerns related to bullying, behavioral escalation, suicidal ideation, and self-injury. Grounded in LAUSD’s best practices, policies, and protocols—vetted by the Office of General Counsel to ensure alignment with California Department of Education (CDE) guidelines—this training promotes legally compliant and ethically sound interventions. Participants will engage in practical learning to enhance their ability to identify risk, coordinate multidisciplinary responses, and support student safety through culturally responsive and trauma-informed practices.
