Mental Health and Behavior Boot Camp @ LAUSD HQ

Morning Session Overview:The Boot Camp’s morning session will focus on mental health, providing participants with critical tools and proactive strategies to effectively support students’ mental health needs. The session will include a review of best practices and LAUSD’s crisis response protocols, which form the cornerstone of our work as crisis responders. Participants will develop a deeper understanding of the distinct roles and responsibilities of School Site Crisis Team members—including administrators, mental health professionals, counselors, and teachers—during both individual and school-wide crises. In addition, the session will address evidence-based approaches to supporting students at risk of suicide and those who may present a threat to others.
