Join the School Psychologist Couch Chat with guest speaker, Tilman, a partner and co-founder of Heyer Gutierrez, LLP. Tilman first became involved in special education as a Teacher’s Assistant in an SDC classroom, later spending school breaks working with children with exceptional needs in city-run summer camps. Through an educational career spent entirely in public schools and universities, Tilman understands the important role of public schools and feels honored to contribute to the mission of serving California’s schoolchildren. Tilman focuses on the needs and goals of each client, developing a unique and well-planned approach for each situation. Since graduating law school, Tilman has focused his career on representing and advising public schools. Tilman earned his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara, double-majoring in Political Science and German. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of California, Irvine School of Law, where he was the student director of the Education Law Clinic and clerked for the legal department of a school district.
