Executive Council

The purpose of the Executive Council is to ensure that member schools are fully engaged in the overall work of the COP, as well as to provide general guidance to the Charter Operated Programs Director and COP team. The Executive Council is composed of the CEO/Superintendent of each Option 3 charter school and is governed by a Executive Board comprised of 9 executive leaders representing the three categories of charter schools (i.e., 1) CMOs, 2) conversions, and 3) small schools).

Coordinating Council

The purpose of the Coordinating Council is to provide technical assistance, pertinent information regarding legal updates, compliance, reports, trainings, Executive Council updates, and additional District information to charter schools. The Coordinating Council is composed of the Special Education Director, Coordinator, or Special Education Administrator for each Option 3 charter school. The Coordinating Council will give recommendations to the Executive Board on needed staffing, supports, and/or services.

Fiscal Council

The purpose of the Fiscal Council is to review grant and assistance pool funding allocation methodology, budgetary concerns, and give recommendations to the Executive Board on funding distribution and/or sharing of special education resources. This includes the oversight of any shared pools that may be established for the COP. The Fiscal Council is composed of the CFO or CBO for each Option 3 charter school.

Committees

Option 3 charter schools participate in decision-making through active participation on a variety of committees. The file below outlines the various committees Option 3 charter schools may participate on.
